It is an SMA male connector *by V***R on June 20, 2014* I was extremely disappointment when I received my adapter and tried to use it with my Asus wireless router. I ordered a RP-SMA male connector but instead received a SMA male connector. There is a major difference between the two which prevents them from being interchangeable. The reason they are called reverse-polarity is because inside conductor uses a receptacle (or hole) instead of the standard SMA pin conductor. This means that a standard SMA male has a center pin and inside threads while a RP-SMA male has a center receptacle with inside threads. If you have questions check out this link [...] I contacted the seller and they claimed that this is the only SMA adapter they have in their inventory which means that it was impossible that they shipped the wrong version.
