Witches, The (DVD)

I have shon this to my grandchildren who are huge fans of the authors children’s books. We laughed a lot and were frightened as well. I can’t wait to show it to the little ones when they get older. The acting is superb, costumes superb, sets superb, special effects superb. It is set in a period old mid century southern United States. Good fun.

I hated the first one. This one was cute and the entire family loved it. My 7 year old thinks this is the greatest movie ever and my 17 year old comes in to watch it with her when she turns it on.

I am a teacher and we always read Roald Dahl’s book “The Witches.” My students love the book and I allow them to watch the movie once we finish it. Anne Hathaway is hilarious in the role as the Grand High Witch! My students gasp with anticipation, sit with eyes wide, and belly laugh at this movie! It is always a hit!

To be honest I didn't see it my wife and daughter like it

It's good, but I wouldn't really care to watch it a second time. Follows the old movie well which is really nice, but it's just not very scary like the original. Especially since the narrator is a comedian, Chris Rock.

Excel movie. Fantastic acting. Very well done. Highly recommend.
