I cut the hole in my door panel. I am putting a sound system in a 1982 Fiat Spider convertible and need really good sound to offset the open air road noise. The car barely has anything in it as is, so almost everything has to be custom or modified which makes these larger tweeters nice as I am not constrained by pre existing dimensions. The speakers are well built and should perform well for many years. I think they are a good value.
