I can't find it anywhere.** A: Chirp does not yet work on this radio as of May 10, 2019 (I just tried). This radio is not in the drop down for Anytone. That said, I bought this radio but under the Midland DBR2500 part number. Midland has software on their website for the DBR2500 and I just programmed a few channels into my radio and it worked okay. Can't say for sure it will work with the AT-778UV but it's the same radio hardware wise and FCC ID wise. **Q: I programmed my unit manually and now my unit is asking for a password? How do I cancel out the password function? I'm locked out** A: Default password for these radios is 1234 etc. Then go into function menu and turn off password. It did the same thing for me. **Q: Do you think the programming cable from the 5888UV can be used on this radio for programming?** A: Yes, it's the same cable. I've used it on both radios. 73 **Q: Can you power this with a cigarette lighter adapter for a 12V. If so, which one or do you sell one?** A: Yes this one can be wired to accept a 12v cigarette adapter. As of now CHIRP does support this radio and I find it to be one of the easiest to program. The only draw back I see is that the frequency up/dwn buttons are on the side instead of the top of the microphone. This makes one hand operation during mobile nearly impossible and not have it transmit while you are trying to cycle the mike. They need to put the up/dwn on the top instead of the side. Otherwise I have found it to be a very good radio, good audio and easy to read the display even mobile. Using the channel button on the front is still a bit inconvenient when mobile and slower than using the mike up/dwn buttons.
