This helps keep your drive from overheating and extends its lifespan. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good, and can be versatile *by M***P on 5 February 2026* Did the job for backing up my nvme and transferring it to a new drive, had some issues with one drive which had a heatsink attached, had to disassemble the casing for the enclosure a d cable tie the drive in place while doing the backup, fortunately the case clips apart and back together fairly easily and the PCB is help in with a couple of normal screws, so was too much of a task, but if your not DIY savvy it might be worth getting something that supports drives with heatsinks, the drive in question was a Samsung 990 pro with heatsink, and the heatsink wasn't easily detached as it has silly security screws, hence the disassembly of the enclosure. But it worked, it's fast, it's reliable, and it's now running as an external SSD system disk with no issues and fully assembled.
