This is a concentrate. Follow directions for dilution mixture depending on insect involved requiring application. **Q: I noticed a couple of answers where it was used prior to a cookout for mosquitos. Could someone please explain this in greater detail please?** A: if used as directed you will get rid off all bugs where applied. I bought this product for ticks but it has also reduced the mosquitos and flies in my backyard. I originally bought a dyna trap which I usually have to clean out 3 times a year but this year after applying hi yield 38 the trap only has a couple of moths and mosquitos in it. **Q: what mix ratio for ant control?** A: It comes with a detailed instructions booklet for each application. For fleas it was like 3 oz per gallon. Can't imagine ants being more. Try food grade Diatomaceous Earth for ants. It is not poisonous to humans or animals. You can eat it. A 50 lb bag is $30-35 and will last you for ever. **Q: can it be applied with a hose sprayer?** A: I guess it can, but this stuff is brutal on all insects including bees and other beneficial insects.
