Great Addition to the Game When you get it Right!
I have had a lot of frustration with this product up until recently and this is why.I purchased these Dance Pads believing they would work with the PS3 straight away (due to the title saying PS3/PS2 Dance Mats!) well I can safely say they definitely did not work straight away.It wasn't until I opened the product did I see that my mats were for the PS2 - they could not physically connect to the PS3 at all. So it turns out YOU NEED A PS2 to PS3 DDR Dance Pad Converter in order to play with this product. If you buy this for your PS3 IT IS ABSOLUTELY 100% NECESSARY that you also buy an adapter for each pad you buy.Once I got it working it was worth it at least! Without the initial hassles I would probably rate this product 5 stars because once they are working they are a lot of fun! The first thing I noticed was the pads size. It is a perfect size. It is actually a bit bigger than most Arcade Versions of DDR, but still small enough not to take up too much space in your house. The quality of the pads are very good. I was quite cautious to use it at first but I have been dancing on it for hours and its fine so far. Apparently this version of the mat has been tested to withstand enough pressure to ensure they last long. The pads seem to be very tough and made out of a good quality metal. The bottom is non-slip too for easy use on tiles. They light up as well which is an added bonus. One weird thing is that the X and O buttons are on the wrong sides to where they would usually be (in Australia anyway) but that doesn't really matter.I would definitely recommend buying the pads to enhance your game play experience with DDR!

Cheaply made.
First off, I want to say that I'm a pretty experienced player and usually play 8-9 footers on challenge/heavy (or expert). The select button broke off the same day I received it, which doesn't have me expecting this pad to last very long. There's also a visual defect in the O button, which looks almost like water damage? but it doesn't affect gameplay so it might just be aesthetics. The screws aren't flush with the metal, neither is the plexiglass leaving gaps between all the buttons and metal parts. It's kinda painful to play on barefoot. If you're a light stepper (like me) you might find that the pad isn't sensitive enough to pick up all your steps when you wear shoes, you can forget about simultaneous step freezes...ugh.All this, and I read other reviews saying how easily the plexigrass cracks, and how it's screwed directly into the wood so you can't replace it without permanently damaging it?Only pro is that it really doesn't slide back, which was holding me back on my foam mat (although it's kind of negated by the fact that i can't do freezes half the time anymore)My advice to you is to spend the extra money, or look into another brand.

Definitely a great upgrade!
My sister and I have been meaning to upgrade from the soft foam dance pad of my high school days for a while now. We just recently made room in our house for a workout/gaming room so it was the perfect time to do it and we're so glad we did! It's an awesome pad and the metal really makes it easier to be more precise when hitting the arrows. It's a little disorienting at first because the pad is so uniform on the top that you have to figure out where the arrows are without looking and the first couple of times it really affected my scores. But once we learned where the arrows were by muscle memory and not feel, like you can use on the foam pad, then it really improved from there. All in all it was a great decision!

bad item!
Don't buy this Item!!!!!! I had tried this item. It's very slow. I had to step on the pad before the arrow come 1 second. That made me very mad because I'm playing this game very good. I try to return it. I sent a request to return and they don't give me the Label to return. Then I sent many email for the seller, He didn't give me the answer. I think this person, He know I will return this item, so he try to hide me. Now I try to contact with the manager of Amazon to get my full money back.

The pad works, but it needs an adaptor to work with PS3
I was disappointed when I realized that I needed to buy something else before the pad would work with my PS3. Besides that, the pad works fine.

It's Amazing! But ...
I love metal pads and I cannot function without them. This pad is beautiful and well-built.My only complaint is that it states it's compatible with the PS3, which it isn't. You can only connect it to your PS3 with the appropriate adapter, which this pad does not come with. I'm going to use it with the PS2 anyway, since the PS3 DDR game requires the Playstation Move, which I have no interest in. Still, I think I would have been happier if I had known I needed the adapter for the pad in the first place.I still love this game and this pad, though!

Gotta Love DDR with a Metal Pad
The pad came in wonderful condition. Had to tighten the screws but that's normal. The pad works fantastically; however the back arrow button does feels a little weak but hasn't broken. I have beaten most of my high scores already and can play on Heavy Mode now with ease; where with the dinky little cloth-type pads I could only play a few Heavy songs without sliding all over the place like the floor was coated in grease. I'd certainly recommend this pad to my fellow DDRians. :P Happy dancing to the beat of your favorite song!

雰囲気は最高ですが...
Win7でps2変換器を使用してもほぼ動作しません。まあ、ちょっと調べて自力でどうにかしますけど、もう少し動作性を改良してくださいな。
