Keeps the ball from going over
Built this backdrop with my kids, the net is pretty sturdy and fairly easy to install. I wasn’t sure if it was strong enough for a basketball, and find it’s not an issue. We aren’t hitting a basketball 100mph like we do a golf ball or baseball. Works perfectly fine

Use this in my smaller backyard. I doubled up a smaller net with this larger one and no issues. Note, this is only the net and you need to purchase accesories to hang this net up. Works ok and would recommend.
