Also, when I used the shoes, one of the nuts completely fell off and several others were unraveling. I think it would be better if there was a locking washer or something to keep them in place. I tightened them as tight as I could get them. The little tool sent to tighten the nuts also was a problem as the open end, which was to embrace the nuts, was too big and it just slipped off when I was really trying to get them tight. I had great hopes, and the pins do go into the ground and I'm sure would be effective but I can't seem to get it to operate effectively.....sorry.... ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ understand that they are not like a real aerator *by S***R on Reviewed in the United States on September 21, 2017* These work alright, for small spaces. However, understand that they are not like a real aerator, which pulls the plugs from the ground, these just simply make holes. I purchased them, because we have a large aerator that we use on the biggest area of our grass but I have a small area in the front which the pull behind aerator doesn't work.
