They are definitely made for floating on water. **Q: I want to use these to create a border for the terra-cotta planter in my fountain. Can these be glued or suctioned? Will they bend or stay stiff?** A: The flowers are pliable. They come in two pieces. The flower and the lily pad. They should be easy to glue onto a pot. A cute idea. I think once glued, they would stay in place. **Q: Can i wash the lilly pads in dishwaser or washing machine?** A: I don't think so. Use Dawn liquid in hot water and swish around and then air dry.
