We wanted to protect our couch from the cats claws and tried to use this but it simply didn't work, it didn't stick to the couch. Wasted of MoneyCustomer service reached out to me and offered a refund, I really appreciate a company that reads the reviews and cares enough to reach out, I will be purchasing these scratch pads again to try them on another couch. the original couch was a stain proof fabric, I dont know if that had anything to do with it, but we will try them on our other couch and see if they can prevent the cats from scratching.

Pain in the but cutting, shaping and sizing. But i dont think we have a way around that issue. I only wish it was maybe a bit more sticky and the pins didnt fall out so easy. But i have 2 almost teenaged kids and a bit of a chaotic house. If nothing is bumping them and rubbing on them they stay put. I have yet to step on one even though i find them on the ground a few times. But it does work as far as protection. I have noticed the corners slightly rip a little easy so dont pin super close to the corner.

I spent a stupid amount of money to reupholster an antique chair that I have kept under cover because my kitty can’t get it through her brain that this is not a scratching post (she has multiple scratching posts, including a 5 ft tree just on the other side of the room. However, I want to see the fabric that I spent so much money on, so I thought I would try this product to see if I could leave the chair exposed without subjecting it to my cats claws. However, within a couple hours, the adhesive sheets fell off the chair. I should note that the pins won’t work unless there is at least 1/2” of padding directly under the fabric. In my case, not enough padding either resulted in the pin dangling or there was a wooden frame under 1/4” padding so the pin couldn’t got all the way in. In both cases the pins stuck out and attracted my kitty to pull at them which is SUPER DANGEROUS! I should also note that I thoroughly cleaned the fabric (using lint roller and vacuum) before applying the sheets, per the instructions.

I have two cats that ruined my last sofa so to protect the new one, I bought these shields. The adhesive did not stick so I used the upholstery nails that came with it and they are now in place. The cats have not tried to claw them so I think this is going to be worth the money.

Wish they would stick to my leather couch better. They fall off daily. I realize it’s my couch’s fault but still….frustrating.
