I've tried similar items in the past and they did nothing. And it's difficult to believe that something that has no moving parts and makes no noise you can hear is actually doing anything, there is a VERY noticeable reduction in the amount of spiders and other insects in the house. Where before I installed these I was sweeping away spider webs every week, since I put these in I have not seen any. I'm was not a believer, but for the price, it was worth a shot. But I have recommended these to 2 friends who have also ordered them. We have these tiny little baby spiders that are all over the place. Little jumping spiders too. My apartment sucks and they find their way inside and it's a daily thing finding and killing a few. I'd had enough! I friend recommended these and I had them ALL over the house. Two or three to a room. And you know what?! I never saw a decrease in the amount of spiders we had in the house.
