It just get's stuck in the deep end. I have the wheels turning at about 13 rpm and it's connected to a dedicated side port suction line. I'm really not even concerned about going up the walls of the pool, as much as I would like that to happen, but the 45º walls get dirty and need to be cleaned. My parents have a pre-hayward unit in their pool and it works flawlessly. The pictures below are from the unit running for approximately 24 hours. It barely did anything.
