Will these work?** A: I tried it on a flip style and they were too big. The measurement of the plug is 0.15" or 3.85mm at the tip, at the widest 0.20" or 5.3mm. Your flip connectors may be larger than my example, a quick msr of the max gauge wire you can use will answer. **Q: Has anyone tried to solder wires into these connectors for a better connection?** A: We have personally not done so, but other customers have done so to make their own cables and plugs.
