Even with a cone, she could still lick it. Not with this product. I think I got it a little too big, but it has served its purpose. Very soft and cushion on the inside. This collar does not allow air circulation beneath the collar and needs to be removed daily, cleaned, and allowed to dry completely, as well as the dogs neck. I have since found blogs stating that they should not be worn longer than 8-10 hours which does not work for a dog that needs it 24/7. We went back to the old fashion Dome of Shame plastic bell shaped collars.This would be an excellent collar if the plastic had breathing holes and was lined with a replaceable reusable liner (3 would be good) so that they could be changed out and cleaned for reuse 3 times per day. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Can be very useful in the right situation *by M***Y on Reviewed in the United States on May 31, 2022* Keep in mind this is not a replacement for the dreaded cone for all situations. Goes on easy and my dog doesn't seem to mind it.About some of the negative reviews, I suggest you try the e-collar or what I refer to as the dreaded cone. When I put the cone on my dog would not move and was miserable.
