I got these because all my gym shorts are spandex & they squish up my butt & make it look square. I hoped these would offset that. I had been avoiding buying the scrunch butt shorts because I think it's weird to walk around the gym with my butt cheeks looking like I separated them on purpose, but those scrunch butt shorts may just make more sense than the old fashioned spandex, which as I said, squished up and mishaped my butt. I'm keeping these in both large & xl because they're may be a situation that I need them. The large are just not comfortable though, for my size.
