Usually there is a metal bracket on the bottom that this weatherstripping slides into. about 6 screws to remove the bracket, pull old one out, use screw driver on one end to spread the track slides new in trim to length then with pliers squeeze track to stop it from sliding out of track. reattach to garage door. about a 15 min job. The track in the bottom of the door has two slots one on each side of the metal bracket. This will not work in any other bracket. **Q: how wide is the T end?** A: Having just purchased this at HomeDepot I can assert the T is 5/16th. It did not fit into my 5/16 track and I was forced to cut the rubber down to make it fit. I can also highly recommend dishsoap on the tracks which can be best cleaned with a spackle spatula as well as letting the rubber get soft in the warm sun to make installation easier. It will still require needle nose pliers and two people to complete. **Q: How wide is this product laid flat?** A: As wide as the track you slide it in. Standard size. Extremely difficult to slide in. Took 3 guys. Use a lube **Q: What size is the "T" insert?** A: Thanks for responding. The little "T"s are the end pieces that slide into the tracks on the bottom of the door. They actually look like "T"s.
