It won't. (Besides, the manual actually isn't bad -- clear, concise English -- I've seen much worse.) Pfirstinger says his book is a supplement to the manual, and that's exactly what it is -- a collection of tips on how to get the most of the camera, once you've mastered the basics of how it works. Example: the manual explains how the Panorama mode functions; Pfirstinger tells you how to get the most out of that mode, what its drawbacks are, and why you may want to use an image processing program instead to create panoramas. Some parts of the book are quite technical, but for the most part, if you're a reasonably adept digital photographer, you should have no problems. Much of the "lingo" and abbreviations frequently used with the camera are spelled out and clarified.While the book is presented as a collection of tips, which is quite useful, it sacrifices some of the "overview", which the reader may miss. Still, the author sorts the tips into categories, which is of some help.
