I’ve personally not used that feature. This has 2 Geiger Muller tubes, on for low frequency, (for simplicity, under <100cpm), and once that low level reader tube is saturated, a 2nd tube for readings over >100cpm will take over. There are people out there who know much more than I regarding the accuracy of this particular device reading super low level radiation. But, if you set this one to its slowest count, 60second readings, it says after 1minute of reading the item or piece of food that it’s accurate to +/-5% accuracy. **Q: Will this detect radiation from a smart house? Phones, lights. Doorbells, routers.smoke detectors etc.** A: No. It detects nuclear radiation not electromagnetic frequencies. Specifically beta, gamma and X-ray emissions.
