Some people said it was too big....it is not. Others said that the drain hose was too short. Here is the thing...apparently LG used different gaskets for the wm3500cw. Some had a long drain hose attached to the gasket. People that needed this version cannot use this gasket without additional hose pieces, couplers and clamps. Other wm3500cw gaskets had a short drain nipple attached to the gasket that would be clamped to additional hose pieces and couplers. This latter version is the gasket my wm3500cw came with and the gasket I bought from this seller fits perfect. You need to check to see which drain hose type your wm3500cw has before ordering. That means removing the front spring, removing the front side of your existing gasket, and looking at the hose.Also, yes you have to make your own holes in the gasket. This is normal, just use a die or a punch and hammer cut a hole in the rubber. If you look , there are other potential, uncut connections that could used depending on the washer model hence no holes are pre-cut until you actually decide which you need.Lastly, here is some advice. Remove the front of the washer to make it easier and save your fingers. Use a spring removal tool that can open wider than 5 inches; some on Amazon only open 4.3 inches. ### ⭐ Didn't work for my machine *by T***N on May 30, 2024* Before purchasing i checked the "compatability" according to the listing. However, when we tried to install this in my washer it didn't quite fit and the drainage hose piece wasn't long enough to work with my washer.
