Even opening my mailbox I could smell them. Maybe I just got an old box sitting in the amazon facility. They last maybe about a week to a week and a half before the smell becomes barely noticeable. I do shake it some to move it around and I can smell it a little, however, still doesn't last long. I think that is expected out of these type of fresheners. Since they came through and mailed me some newer ones that actually smelled I'll give them 2 more stars.**Very faint smell.
