The leather is thick, sturdy, and high quality. The shoulder strap is wide, comfortable and does not slip off my shoulder. I've been searching for a bag like this for a long time. I am 5'1" and most tote bags are too large for me. This is a perfect size for me. The side, outer pocket is perfect for my phone to be readily available. It comes with an inner black bag for organizing your items, which I did not use, as I had a different bag of my own that I am using to keep my small things in. This purse can hold a lot! I carry a lot, and I still have room for a tablet, an umbrella, I can throw my lunch bag in it. I just love it. It is extremely sturdy and well made and I'm sure it will last a very long time and the leather will get finer with age. I'm so tempted to order the black one as well because it took me so long to find a purse of this style that worked this well for me. I bought it for my sister for Christmas and I’m not gonna lie, I’m jealous that I’m giving it away.So the purse has about four pockets on the outside and only two pockets, the back and front, with the metal clasp. The inside doesn’t have any pockets but comes with a bag that is not attached to the purse itself. When you open that bag it does have a smaller pocket with a zipper. I actually love this because I usually carry a separate bag with my purses to carry tampons and other necessary things. The separate bag is more of a shiny fabric but the actual purse does smell and feel like leather! The inside of the purse is like suede patches sewn together and feels and looks very nice.I’m super impressed and wasn’t expecting to like this as much I did! I would recommend the purse and maybe don’t buy it as a gift haha! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sturdy but not my style *by K***Y on December 28, 2017* Nice quality leather -- not butter soft (like lambskin), but not the kind of cheap leather that scratches when you drag a fingernail across it either. Very sturdy. It stands up nicely when placed on the ground, without sagging to one side. The hardware seems like good quality. Overall, it has the feel that it will last a while. I purchased this as a gift for someone, but changed my mind, in part because the bag simply wasn't "snazzy" enough, and also in part because I had given the same person a leather tote bag just a few months ago as a gift. I live is super style conscious Dallas, so it didn't bowl me over with style.
