Read this before spending money on transmission/engine repairs
I have a 2014 Sierra Denali with a 6.2 L engine. For the last couple of years I have dealt with odd transmission shift/surge. It was hard to tell what was actually occurring. It was as if it was confused on shift--especially 2nd to 3rd on the factory 6 speed transmission. It also felt like it was surging on accelerations and "clunked" on downshifts. I just felt like it was somehow in the programming---somehow a file maybe had become corrupted. So I took it to the GMC dealership. I asked him to re-flash the programming. He drove around the parking lot and said I needed a new 5000 dollar transmission. It was not bad enough for me to spend that kind of money yet. Besides I didnt totally buy that story. So I carried my GMC to the Chevrolet dealership. I asked him to re-flash the programming. He said it was 90 dollars. I agreed. In a few minutes he came back and said my truck was parked around front and ready to go. He said there was no charge because it had the latest version and they didnt do anything. (Noone listens to the customer anymore.)So after research I thought i would try the Predator. How could I go wrong? Amazon had the free returns on this unit. If it didnt work, I return the truck to stock and send it back.I decided to ONLY change to Economy Tune. The 6.2 already has 420 stock HP. (Im not sure my neck could handle any additional HP.) OMG!!!! What a miraculous change!!!!! For 350 dollars I have a BRAND NEW TRUCK. It totally fixed the issue!!! The supposedly "wore out" transmission shifts perfectly! No more surging! No more hunting gears! No more Clunking. It is a smooth perfect shift up and down. I actually believe it also it feels as if it has added some HP. Maybe just a more efficient shifting transmission computes to more HP.Also an added feature is that I am seeing an additional 3 MPG on the Denali computer. How long will it take to make up 350 dollars in that? I think I will box up my Predator and put it in a safe place. I will leave it as it is.Maybe I will drive it up to the GMC dealership and let the guy drive it. I will ask him how he likes my new transmission.Update a month laterI decided to go in and turn off the 4 cyl mode deactivation. Wow that is better also. I did not realize but the engine shutters a little when going back and forthbetween V-8 and V-4. I was just use to it. It runs sooooooo much better and no noticeable difference in gas mpg. You can go into the display settings on the truck and you can watch it displayed whether it is V4 or V8. When it is changed, it will stay on V8.

great programmer, does what I wanted it for
I primarially bought this to disable the DOD/AFM on my '16 Silverado which was a simple process. I also loaded the 87 tune. Both changes I can confirm increased my gas mileage. It wasn't a lot, maybe 1.5-2mpg during these summer months. The DOD/AFM is an issues for these trucks at high mileage, the cams go bad and I was hoping to prevent this from happening to my truck. With the 87 tune loaded, the transmission has a better feel to it, it's not constantly shifting around anymore and now holds it's gear better. There are a lot of options within the controller, a lot I will never use. The price was a bit high, and due to the low miles I drive, this will never make it worth any gas savings. What I'm hoping for is no cam failures though. Time will tell...

Listen! Update.....Tech Support Saved The Day!
I saw a cheaper option when buying because this 1 was returned before, once used I guess it is paired to that vehicle. No good for Me 07 Chevy Suburban LTZ.Update; I had a Delete of the AFM System done so My Truck was altered from the Stock File the Scanner looks for so it wouldn't work for Me out of the box but Tech Support was able to get Me right with updates to My Computer. Very simple 👌 and Now......It's Working 💪 and I like it. Was able to get the 87 Performance Tune & turn AFM back off.Feels shifts and Performance is wayyyy better than stock!Yay! Tech Support and Thanks!

Good tuner for the cost but do your research
Good tuner for the cost but do your research. I bought this tuner for my '08 GMC Yukon, I read several reviews and all were positive so I bit the bullet and bought it. The most important feature was having the ability to disable the AFM model(GM should never have designed their vehicles to switch back and forth from V8 to V4). I disabled AFM ad recalibrated my tire size since I went to a 295/55r20. For these attributes the tuner works perfectly! However, I initially tried the "87Perf." tune and I could instantly tell a major difference in the way the Yukon drove; shifts were firmer and I could feel the increased horsepower with little effort. The big let down came through when I started hearing a pinging sound upon acceleration, especially medium to hard acceleration between 20-40mph. Seems to me like my Yukon is running lean but I'm running 87 octane so I shouldn't be experiencing this issue seeing how the tune is made for 87-Octane. I'm going to put 93-Octane in and try the tune again to see if that clears up the pinging. I also called DiabloSport, they tried to find a possible solution but were of NO help; they stated just to take it to a shop for further analysis. Pinging issue aside, this tuner works well and is very user friendly! Looking back, I should have invested in the "i3" instead of the P2...

Revised - Voided Warranty With Dealership - Caused Major Problem
I set the tune to Diablo 91 and filled it up, immediately the engine got a major problem when I got on the gas. Had to tow it to dealership, $2700 estimate on repairs. Dealership said covered under warranty, until they checked the codes. And, YES i cleared the tuner and put it back to stock before it got to dealership. They saw every single time I had used the diablo on the truck, I never told them anything. Despite what Diablo says, the tuner is NOT hidden from them. Had I known this, I would never have bought the tuner. But, I read the forums and did my research, Diablo staff said in forums that it will not void warranty and would not leave a footprint, apparently not true at all. Diablo in forums say to mention the Magnusson Moss act, that doesn't work at all. I fought and fought, I lost. The final repairs ended up costing me $2200, only other way I could have fought it was to hire a lawyer. Diablo, you either aren't honest with potential customers or you are just not "in tune" with the latest capabilities of GM and what they can see on the computer. I paid $331 for this, I want my money back to help pay off my repair charges.

Highly recommend !!
This programmer is very easy to use and works exactly as advertised.I’ve tried all three of the settings that are in it and they are all very different. I’m very impressed with the economy setting as my truck runs on four cylinders most of the time. I’m very happy about the fact that this will save me on my fuel bill and pay for itself. The transmission on my truck is known to be a problem shifter, this program made a very big difference in the way it shifts. It’s not perfect but much better.I’m very happy

Buen precio

Woke my Escalade right up!
Combined with programmer with AFE intake and it woke up my Escalade 6.0. The 87 octane performance is fantastic for a little more jam. I’d recommend turning your shift point pressures back to stock as it shifts to hard.

Before you buy it check the diablo sport website to see if it’s working
Bought it a month ago and haven’t been able to use it yet cause the website to download the DS downloader has been under maintenance and with no updates on when it’s going to be done..I’ve tried to plug it into my truck but it’s saying it needs an update so now I’ve gotta wait until the website is up and running if ever.
