I've only used this pump once so far, maybe about an hour of total running time, but I am very impressed so far. I bought it to empty the rinse water while doing an acid wash on my empty swimming pool. I must say it performed flawlessly, easily emptying about 5 or 6 inches of water from the deep end in about 10 minutes. I walked over just to see the discharge rate at the other end of the garden hose and was pleasantly surprised by the strength of this unit. The pump was sitting at the bottom of the deep end in about 6 inches of water and the garden hose was running vertically up the side of the wall about 6 feet and then horizontally another 25 feet to the back yard, and the flow rate was still impressive, about the same as if you attached a garden hose to an outside spigot and turned it on all the way.
