People also complain about getting the product out, I solved that problem by completely unscrewing the cap, that way with a bit of shake product comes out nicely. At one point when my hair was lighter, I also used vanilla lights and bronde, also very happy with the results. I always use gloves and don't find it especially messy. I think it's an excellent product as long as we remember to use it as a glaze and not to expect hair dye.
