These are perfect. I wear these with tennis shoes when working out and not a thing shoes. I was excited about this from the start, but I walked a 5k in these (usually a 5K run/walk ends with me in one or two blisters no matter what I do). These worked amazingly and I my feet weren't even tired after all that walking and not a single blister. I haven't tried this with my ballet flats, but I am betting that they wouldn't work that great because they cover the top part of the foot, but for working out, walking and wearing tennis shoes these are the best. I washed them in cold water and dried to see how they held up. They lost they're picture perfect out of the box look and balled up like regular socks, however, when I stretched out over my foot, no cushion was lost. I air dried them to the next time to see if it made a different. They didn't ball up as much, so it's either or. They were definitely worth the cost and I'll be purchasing again in different colors. They are thick compared to thin dress socks but are a bit thin compared to athletic socks. I like them. They seem durable and washed well and did not lose shape.
