It is beautifully packaged, luxurious, extremely well made and has received seal of approval stating there are no toxic chemicals used in producing this pillow protector and no cruel practices to the sheep. The problem is its made too large. It states its a "standard" but it is way too large for my standard size pillow. I wish it could be taken in but it can not due to the zipper. it is too long and too wide. I bought this for my new expensive organic pillow which I wanted to protect but wasn't able to use it on it. It does however fit the one and only "Queen size" pillow I own. I've attached photos of my "standard" size COTTON pillow protector on top of a queen size pillow which is covered with the wool pillow protector. As you can see the wool protector is about 3' too large. I have about 10 "standard" size cotton pillow protectors and they are all about the same size; therefore, I expected this one to be the same size as my cotton pillow protectors. Sadly, the size of this wool protector is 28" x 19". If you have an overstuffed fat standard pillow then it might fit but if you have a down, cotton or wool pillow it will not fit for they do NOT over-stuff those boutique pillows. FYI, This wool protector is wool only on one side but is nice enough to use as a decorative pillow sham. I would have given it 5 stars if it would have been the right size. I suggest if you have a "King" pillow then order the "Queen" size pillow protector. If you have a "Queen" pillow order the "Standard" pillow protector for a nice snug fit. UPDATE: this pillow protector is so nice that I ended up buying some queen pillows and purchasing 2 more of these sherpa pillow protectors 6 months later. The the "standard" size is still too big for a standard pillow but fits the queen pillows perfectly. The backing fabric has been changed since my first purchase...slightly better but the fleece may be slightly less plush. Update, they are still in excellent condition after 2 years of light use. My husband uses his every night now for 2 years and is also still in excellent condition. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Using it with my buckwheat pillow and I'm very comfortable sleeping on it *by F***0 on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on October 6, 2017* Using it with my buckwheat pillow and I'm very comfortable sleeping on it. Buckwheat and wool is a very nice combination. I wish it had a cotton backing but for $13 I really can't complain especially given how well it's made. Nice solid stitching and professionally made. The backing that the wool is woven into is a nice open weave which will let plenty of air circulate. The holes are probably 1mm or more (see photos). The only disadvantage of polyester and microfiber in bedding is that they trap heat and moisture. But this pillow case prevents that by having a very large open weave with lots of millimeter sized openings in the backing which will let plenty of air through. So the disadvantage of polyester is negated in this case. Given its design and quality I don't think you can beat the price. I bought it because the description was, "easy care machine wash & dry," but the tag is clearly marked only "spot clean."
