Q: Do you take out original insoles out of sneakers or put these new insoles on top. Instructions does not explain this .

You put these inserts on top of the existing insoles in your shoes.

No hard plastic. Comfortable. I was having severe heel pain. It took a while, but I no longer have heel pain. Also, i can now wear sandals without any orthotics.
