It’s sexy while also being sweet. Mick is really protective of Amanda. They’ve been working together for years and holding a torch for each other. Neither has given the other any indication of those feelings, making their steamy anonymous meet-up hotter. Once Mitch realizes who he’s with, we see that sweet side come out in full force. *swoon*Amanda and Mick make a deal when the truth of their identities is fully revealed…a deal all romance readers know will never work the way they think it will work. It goes from just one night to get it out of their system to a whole long weekend they dub Amanda’s Sex Adventure Weekend. Mitch feels he cannot ever have a meaningful or lasting romantic relationship. Things that happened in his past with his family have left a bitter taste in his mouth and he never wants to hurt anyone the way his mom was hurt. Instead of seeing all the ways he’s not like his father, he fixates on how he can hurt those around him. Amanda is screwing that all up and Mick doesn’t know up from down anymore.While Amanda is quite naïve in many ways, once she dives into this thing with Mick her inner vixen comes out. It’s amazingly sex-positive and I was all in for her explorations into her wants and needs in the bedroom. Their chemistry is off the charts. Amanda feels that, but because of her lack of experience she’s not sure if that’s just her. Mick admits things are fire between them, better than ever before, but he’s still adamant that he’s not meant for a relationship. He’s infuriating and I appreciate that Amanda calls him to task when need be.I read this story after a big disappointment with this same author. I went in hoping it would be a solid read as I usually expect from her, a kind of palate cleanser. It ended up blowing my expectations out of the water. I loved this book. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Spicy! *by N***] on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on July 2, 2022* I've been a fan of Melissa Foster's books for a while now and I'm always amazed by the way she can give us a read that pulls me in from the very beginning and has me happy with the ending but yet craving more at the same time.Let me explain a little bit more on what I mean, in this story we have Mick and Amanda whom work together (actually Mick is Amanda's boss) and have been attracted to one another since she started with the company three years earlier but neither of them acted on it. That is until Amanda purchases a book on how to Seduce a Man and starts flirting with her boss to test the waters out then she decides that the perfect place for her to really test her skills is a masquerade bar crawl. Their eyes meet across a crowded room and there is an instant spark but as the night goes on and he doesn't make his move she flirts with someone else...now mind you that neither one know who the other is, and that just snaps him and he's at her side in a blink of an eye. The HOLY HOTNESS BATMAN someone let the dirty talker in Melissa's muse out because WOW. This series is going to be one of the spicier of Melissa Foster's and I for one am along for the ride.Okay, I digress but seriously this book is HOT. Not knowing who the other person is was super sexy and you're probably wondering how two people that work so closely together couldn't tell who the other one was with only an eye mask covering their face but if I told you that would ruin things so you'll just have to read it and find out yourself. Anyway, the chemistry is scorching hot and they don't stop at just one night Mick turns it into a weekend with no mention of it afterwards but we all know how that goes.Melissa Foster delivers another stellar read I honestly didn't want this book to end when it did, we got the HEA but I wanted it to continue because not only did I LOVE the spiciness of the read I loved the Romantic Side of Mick that was emerging as well. Foster is a mastermind at drawing you in, making you flip the pages so fast to see what’s going to happen next. She has become one of my favorite authors. This book did not disappoint.Amanda is a paralegal tired of attracting the same boring guys. So she buys a book to learn how to seduce the kind of guy she wants. After research and self care, she decides the masquerade bar crawl is where she will release her new vixen. Her eyes are set in none other than Mick. Y’all, handsome entertainment attorney, and her boss. Nick has always had a thing for Amanda but never acted on it. Though neither of them know who each other is until a hot scene in the bathroom he realizes it’s her. This is their chance to act in their feelings over the last 3 years. One night, turns into a weekend. What will happen when they get back to work?!So much steam and spice in this book. It’s hot!! So many emotions, I loved seeing them grow into a couple. They were perfect for each other. Chemistry, forgiveness, self worth and hot. A must read.
