The small size bottle is compact enough that it will fit in my jeans pocket (barely) instead of using the included carabiner to externally carry it.It works great and the dogs took to it immediately. The only slight drawback is that it's slow to fill the water tray (you have to squeeze the bottle). I'm sure the opening could be opened, but then it might leak more than wanted.
