You should be using at minimum 4 gage. Also upgrade your ground from battery to chassis. What it does is store power in it so the amp don’t take it straight from the battery. If you want the dimming to stop. You have to upgrade your alternator to battery wire a ground to chassis and engine to chassis only way to make it stop. I have a what looks to be a 10 gauge wire from my alternator to battery and that’s factory.
