Review: Wish I ordered before puppy was picked up! - After dealing with a whining puppy at night for 3 weeks, finally bit the bullet and bought this. I absolutely wish I would have had it prior to puppy pick up. I’m not kidding when I say the first night, and every night after, he did not whine at all once having this in his crate. It provides the perfect comfort of missing sleeping with siblings, and soothing heart beat of what they hear when we hold them, that it made our nighttime routine 100x better. Would recommend for anyone with a puppy or having a hard time sleeping at night. It’s super soft and the perfect size. Heartbeat battery lasts a long time.

If your puppy is adjusting to the kennel when you first get him, being away from his mom and siblings, you need this. It took the stress and anxiety of being in a new place away from him. It even has a an insert that imitates a heart beat and you can warm it up so imitate a beating heart and warmth. This was well worth the money in my opinion. I think it would do well for any dog that had anxiety being alone or in the crate.

A: Yes yes it would work! 
Not only could your deaf puppy feel the warmth of the heat pad inside, the heartbeat would be so comforting. If possible, rubbing the puppy (toy) on the mama and siblings would be amazingly helpful.

A: I have fostered and adopted puppy mill dogs, abused dogs et cetera. I highly suggest you talk to your veterinarian about putting the dog on xanax. They are they usually start at a higher dose and are able to take it down over the months as the dog gets better.. It's able to calm their brain and mind down enough that they are able to interact And learn to not be afraid. Please give it a try. I adopted a dog 3 months ago who is about 4 years old years old and he was put on xanax 3 weeks after I brought him home. The progress seems slow to other people but to me it's amazing as their body and mind are able to calm down.. When I 1st left him home alone with my other dog I had video cameras on and he triggered it 75 times and one hour running back-and-forth between the front and back door.. After 4 months on it I don't even have to turn the camera on anymore he just lays up in a bed in the window while I'm gone

**Q: Did your dog develop a dependency on this toy? Is there a way to wean your dog off of it?**
A: Dogs can develop a routine, a system that they have gotten used to overtime. A great way to wean off the toy would be to remove the heart beat for a few weeks, and then remove the heat pack for a few weeks, and then add other favorite toys/stuffed animals with it for a few weeks and then remove the targeted toy entirely. You would slowly shape the routine so you don’t create any new behaviors that are unwanted: barking, whining, scratching, etc. Hopefully this helps!

**Q: Has anyone used the snuggle puppy to help adult rescue dog with separation anxiety. Did the snuggle puppy help? dog is 2 1/2 yrs old.**
A: This silly thing is amazing!!!! I am actually purchasing a second one at this very moment.
My oldest (9yr), and youngest (2.5 yr) both love it. If I am not nearby, they will see where I am, and then curl up with the cuddle puppy and sleep. 

If I could give these 1000 likes, I would. I was thrilled by the price originally, but they are worth every single penny!
Definitely recommend!!!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Got us through the first night

I got my puppy yesterday and this is, so far, the best thing I purchased. He wrestles with it and sleeps against it. He slept through the night which I totally did not expect. The toy is bigger than he is and that make the whole thing just that much cuter. I have a feeling I will be going through a lot of batteries but I think it's completely worth it. The toy is soft and so far has taken the little guys teeth with no tearing. I'll update further if he manages to rip it open or anything Update: No tearing and I did put in a hand warmer overnight to see how that worked. It made the toy warm enough to the touch to be comforting but not too hot. I'm not sure my puppy noticed or cared and I haven't done it since. He loves to wrestle with this and sleeps next to or on top of it whenever it's nap time. Update May 2017 -- He loves this toy, he still sleeps with it every night. It hasn't had a heartbeat or the warmer in years but it is still his go to sleep toy. It goes with him to boarding and on every trip. He still has the original stuffy though it doesn't have ears or eyes anymore. I had to wash it once due to an explosion in the crate, with a lot of bleach, and it fared very well. He wasn't sure about it for a few days as it didn't smell right anymore, but he soon fell in love with it again. Im very impressed with the quality as this has lasted three plus years of pretty constant mauling. Five Year Update: He still loves this toy. I keep considering getting a new one and swapping them out but it's held up surprisingly well. Seven Year Update: My neighbors got a puppy and she just cried the whole first night in the crate. I got her one of these and the difference is amazing. She hears the heartbeat and goes directly into her crate! I broke down and got my dog another one, even though this is a big pricey for the size of toy. He is in love. He has spent hours cuddling with this in the past two days. I put up a pic of the old one vs new one. I finally washed the old one and it's better, but he LOVES the new one. I was being sentimental as it was the toy I had with me when I picked him up from the breeder, but apparently he doesn't care. I will be getting more, possibly yearly, as he destroys them.
