## Description

Hand painted Tree of Life with Finches and Flowers. This work of art is hand cut and hand painted in Haiti from a recycled oil drum. Laborers begin the process by burning out the residue from discarded steel drums, cutting off the tops and bottoms, splitting down them down the side, sanding and pounding them flat. Next the artist takes over, drawing his design onto the prepared steel. Chisels, dies and a large hammer are used to cut and shape the piece, giving it form and texture. Finally the design is hand painted and clear coated for outdoor use.
