**Q: Are the KastKing kapstan Elite spinning reels all manual bail designs?**
A: No, To reduce line twist, we always recommend manually closing the bail arm after making a cast when using any spinning reel. However, on the size 3000 & 4000 Kapstan Elite Spinning reels is automatic bail trip, you can turn the handle to close the bail if you prefer. The size 5000/6000/8000 Kapstan Elite spinning reels are a different design, which require you to manually close the bail to begin the retrieve.

**Q: why won't it cast more than about 30 feet for me with heavy lure and makes a lot of news on retrieve using 20 lb test?**
A: Depends on what type of rod you are using. Need to be sure that you are using a spinning rod and not a casting rod. The difference is spinning rods have bigger eyes at the reel end and they get smaller as they go towards the tip. Bait casting rods have small eyes all the way down. Are you flipping the bell ?  If you have all of this correct then apparently there is a problem with the reel. I love mine and I use it for surf fishing. I cast mine 200 feet with a 4 ounce weight and leader easy

**Q: So are the bearings double sealed or shielded?**
A: I don't know... I didn't disect them... I'm sending them both back due to the line lay... they offered washers to correct it but I've never had to do that before on any reel and I don't feel it'd right that they don't mention the washers in their description of the reels... It would have saved me the trouble of sending them back because I wouldn't have ordered the reels..

**Q: Is the 3000 really 13.9 oz in weight? That seems heavy to me.**
A: The weight is accurate. I have paired mine with a 7'0" Kastking Estuary MH rod.
