It's very durable and has an impressive range of about 150 feet. I have a 5 year old so she's a pretty crazy driver and has crashed so many times but it still works perfectly! The car itself charges by USB and the remote takes batteries. The car charge lasts about 15 minutes which is the only downfall and why I didn't 5 star but the remote batteries last very long. The car goes a decent speed and no terrain is too much! Runs ok, easy. The rear shocks aren't sturdy and there is a metal piece that keeps coming out of it's holders in the middle of the shocks. One of the front steering assembly's became a little bent; I looked at the EXceed 5 website; and it is very confusing and hart to find what replacement part you need. What part i think I needed (steering assembly) was more than the entire car new.
