A: It’s 1 but I assumed it would be 2 because of the picture ...annoying.

A: If you look at the plastic code on the top or bottom of the product, #05 PP is a type of plastic (polypropylene) that's BPA-free.

**Q: How many eggs can be cooked at a time?**
A: I have only cooked one egg at a time, but it only takes 35 - 40 seconds per egg, thus you can do several in a very short time. The egg rises/expands significantly while cooking thus if there is more than one egg, there is the chance that it would push out of the cooker.

**Q: Does the lid snap shut? Most egg cookers I have used the lid blows open while cooking.**
A: I have been using this egg cooker for over a year with no problems. Try pricking yoke and add a little water. The lid just closes shut.
