The mesh is very, very fine, so there's no danger of snagging on anything. Seams are sturdy. I was concerned that the zipper pull wouldn't stay under the elastic strip when it when through the wash, but it stays securely tucked in. The only odd thing has been that if I use them to wash something that bleeds color, they come out of the wash with splotches of color on them. But a quick rinse in cold water and they're back to pure white. It's happened to me twice - with pink and with bright blue. Then I read that putting the little things in wash bags totally prevents this from happening! So I bought these and gave one to each of my kids and told them to put their socks and other little things to be washed into these bags. Big enough to wash a thinner sweater in, and a good size for a bra if you're on the larger cup size spectrum. Zipper closure is nice, doesn't seem like it will rub on items in the bag in a negative way.
