Does that mean that it will absorb anything you put into it? Like balsamic vinegar?** A: It’s my preference to use only dry ingredients, when it comes to any liquid I use my stainless spoons. I bought them mainly for a little accent to my kitchen. But they do well for measuring also. **Q: How to measure 1/3 of teaspoon with these spoons?** A: I just use the teaspoon and guesstimate with the one teaspoon measuring spoon. **Q: What are these coated with?** A: I am not sure that they are coated. I gave them as a gift and the recipient was very pleased with them. **Q: Are these dishwasher safe?** A: My opinion?
