Last week we drove the Dalton Hwy to Deadhorse, Alaska. Basically a 500 mile mostly dirt road north of Fairbanks. Within 120 miles of Deadhorse, we broke two leaf springs on the RV, and had to turn around.But the Carlisle tires never missed a beat, never had any flats, and after well over 20,000 miles they were a bit beat up, and it was time to replace them.-------------------------------------------------------------------Original post:I bought these tires for our RV TT this spring for what became a 14,500 mile trip from Alaska our home, Washington, California, Arizona, Florida, Missouri, back to Washington, then back home.While we were pretty beat up, these tires were not. The ride was very nice, not bouncy, coupled with a good WDH, was extremely stable, even with a stiff crosswind. Zero sway on our 21 foot camp trailer.Alaska isn't the king of bad roads, and everytime I hit a pothole or other road hazard, I was glad to have a D rated tire. I have put 1500 Rough Alaskan miles on the Travel Trailer without a worry or any sign of wear. This includes Gravel roads; broken pavement; debris and potholes that would shred normal tires. I expect to get at least 5+ years at this rate without a worry. The ride is smooth and pressures are holding consistent. Life is good,I Love them.I'm old school and maximize my investment (Cheap🙄). I ran the first two nerve racking years😬 pulling the Travel Trailer on the China Poppers, checking the Air Pressure and bearing temperature (Laser Tool) every 50 miles or every pullout as i can't see the tires on my right side unless i make a slow sharp right hand turn (impracticable) especially at night. I parked the Travel Trailer at years end thinking i could get some more miles out of the tires. To my suprise over the winter two of my poppers earned their nickname and popped the belting after moving 30ft, lucky i made it home😧. My search began for replacements. I spent days reading reviews that kept leading me back to the Carlisle Radial Trail HD's. No more questionable tires for me. Build from the foundation up.🤔Since purchasing my new Carlisle tires i invested in a inexpensive Wireless TPMS system that does Pressure and Temperature and placed it on the dash. This and my new tires has my stress level down from 90% to 20% or less😃. While traveling i glance at it about every 2 minutes but still visually check my tires every stop up to 250 miles. With Temperature i get indications of any bearing heating translated thru the rims into the tire air.Now camping is a pleasurable journey, not a nerve racking trip. I've even let the wife drive, her first time pulling.....80% if you get my drift😳. She did excellent.😇Never would have happened on the China Poppers.☠ ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great tire !! *by R***R on Reviewed in the United States on March 3, 2018* These tires are well made , I spent a lot of time researching because my travel trailer came with Goodyear marathons, the Goodyear tires I had were made in New Zealand ! The Goodyear marathons sold today are made of course in China. Unless you buy the Goodyear Endura at 110.00 each that are made in USA, who wants to spend 450.00 on trailer tires !! Not me ! So I've never experienced bad luck with tires made in China , and I've purchased plenty ! For my trucks and boat trailer and so on , so I figured I would give these a shot, well the tire is well made , nice heavy duty tire and you can't beat the price on Amazon ! Every were else these tires are 90 to 100 each ! I paid 50.00 per tire, so with the savings on the tires I purchased nice aluminum rims ! All for the same cost as the endurance tires ! Amazon made it all happen ! And there customer service is outstanding. So my take on this tire !
