Review: a life saver! - Here is a short story: several years ago I was flying from Corona Airport to Palomar Airport located on the San Diego coast. In route I lost all avionics and had no radio other than my hand held back up. I extended my flight over the ocean to get situated with my back up radio only to find my stock Nicad battery was near dead. I was in a busy area and had a near dead battery. Now with my new Lion battery it holds a charge for months and delivers full power and faithful service. Lion battery technology beats the hell out of nicad. I do not need a back up battery as this one battery has lasted 2 days when I forgot to shut it off and still had more power than the old nicad. Bottom line is I would give this battery a 10 rating.

The battery works well, charged right up and replaced my original Icom battery. It only took a little bit of investigation because the clip could not secure it in place, I had to press a bit harder and manually help the clip engage the battery. All in all, good battery.
