They are not as thick as my long-term storage bags, but I figure goodies are gonna get gobbled up fast anyway! It's the trade-off for having a window in the bag so you can see what's inside. Window bags are never as thick as solid mylar. They are thick enough and the zipper is strong enough that I am confident they will keep things fresh for months. I was able to heat seal them perfectly when I turned my heat sealer down to number 3. My usual setting for long-term storage mylar is 7. The number reflects the thickness of the bag. Number 3 gave me a perfect seal without melting the bags. The size I bought (5.5×7.8) holds about 1.5 cups which is exactly what I wanted. I love all the colors and I will be ordering more in different colors and sizes for different occasions. The price is AMAZING for the quality. Mine worked out to about seventeen cents a bag!! With 120 bags I'll have enough left over after Christmas to use them for Valentine's Day! Delivery was quick.
