I don't see why it wouldn't, but I do not see that mentioned anywhere.** A: I just tried a few grapes and as I expected, they are two small. If you poured a whole bunch in they might get some squished. But generally the red seedless grapes just roll through. We didn't have any problems hand cranking the apples through though. Worked well. **Q: Is the drum made from wood, or is it plastic?** A: The drum is wood with pressed-in stainless-steel blades. Hand cranking this gets old pretty quick. The "blades" are stamped stainless steel that are pressed into a wood drum. Each blade has approximately 1/4" x 1/4" alternating teeth and gaps along its length. The design flaw is that they are all lined up. As the teeth cut into the apple, the gaps are lined up and eventually the uncut apple rides on the drum in the gaps between the teeth. That prevents the teeth from cutting further into the apple and that makes it unnecessarily difficult.
