This is the one. (Yes, I know it is designed as a coffee grinder.) Easy to use. Produces large amounts of ground pepper quickly. Handles larger (4.25+ mm) peppercorns like a dream. Easy grind size adjustment wheel; no need for a screwdriver. I can remove the bottom container (the part that catches and holds the ground pepper) and grind directly into/onto whatever I'm cooking/serving, or I can lock the container on and grind a bunch into it and of course none of it spills out. The container comes on and off easily but when it locks on it does so with a satisfying click to let you know it is locked on. In addition, because its cross-section is a rounded triangle instead of a smooth cylinder, it is easy to hold firmly while grinding and doesn't slip or turn in my hand. And that is a good thing for another reason: peppercorns are harder than roasted coffee beans, so it is harder to grind them. It can take a bit of muscle power to get started grinding, but once it gets started, only a reasonably firm grip and turn is need to keep grinding as it turns out ground pepper like nobody's business. NOTE: People with severe hand arthritis probably should not try to use this as a pepper grinder, although it might work for them as a coffee grinder as intended. Because it is so inexpensive, the first thing I did after trying it out was to buy a second one, so I can keep one adjusted to a fine grind and the other adjusted to a coarse grind. That way when I'm in the heat of cooking I don't have to fiddle with the grind adjustment; I can simply grab one or the other and go to town. The only improvement I would like to see is an electric version with a powerful torque-y motor so it can handle grinding peppercorns. But that's just me being greedy. The rating is less as it is not robust in its feel. For home use over time I am suspect. I would have given a higher overall grade for this if there were instructions that were more specific. Took a few gentle but firm approaches to opening the grinding area and the ground receptacle. How to adjust grind is poorly explained but easily "figured out". I do find it much superior to the old spice grinder camouflaged as a coffee grinder. Does what it's supposed to do. Takes 3-4 minutes to grind enough for one espresso so it's a little more of a workout than I expected. But the grind is good. The handle feels a little flimsy but it's held up well. And for the price, it's okay.
