An action, drama about an ex-con, Grip (GORIO), who, after making a $100 bet with a fellow inmate that, once paroled he won t be back, struggles to make an honest living in society after serving 4 years in prison for drug possession. After an unsuccessful attempt at the straight life, he must return to the world of guns and thugs he left behind, headed by his slyly elusive brother Maurice (KING JEFF). Other characters include Grip s ex-girlfriend Gwen (RENEE L. WINN), who has lost all hope that Grip will ever honestly provide for her and their daughter...Deon (ROBERT L. WICKER), Gwen s ex-drug dealing brother, now turned bible toting preacher...Hard boiled Detective Reed (CRAIG DEROCHE) and his partner Detective Carlson (CHARLIE HOLLINS, JR.), who will stop at nothing to arrest and convict Maurice...Tony (EL TIMO), Maurice s smooth talking right hand man...and Mike (BRIAN LANIGAN) and his little brother Lil Mike (JIMMY D AQUIN), Maurice s two psychotic henchmen, who have ambitions of going into business for themselves. I thought this was pretty good for an ultra low budget thing, i mean most these ultra low budget things don't even make any sense and the people in them mutter and you can't even understand what they are saying, etc. they're just complete crap. This made sense, the story had continuity and it didn't drift into nowhere land, it was just a good movie for what it was, and that is hard to find with a majority of movies.
