This is my second mitten; I'm replacing my first after four years and three months. I don't use it weekly (laziness :), which likely made it last quite a bit longer. I knew my first one was over the hill when it stiffened significantly, and started feeling abrasive and scratchy on my skin. I don't use any other scrubs, exfoliators or pore cleansers, I don't need to! I suffer from very dry skin, and live in a state with very low humidity. The Baiden solves all that; my skin is so smooth, and the dryness is significantly less. A lifesaver for my face. My favorite benefit is that it absolutely prevents dry and peeling lips in winter. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Buy this (but make sure it is appropriate for you)!! *by A***H on April 27, 2015* This thing is amazing.First off, make sure to buy a Baiden name brand mitten (this exact product) and not a cheap knockoff. I bought a cheap one first and wasted $10 USD on a subpar product. With this product, the brand matters.Also, make sure you soak in clean water for a while (don't shampoo/condition/soap up, etc), step out of the water, and don't towel dry before you start scrubbing. The first time I used the mitten I towel-dried my skin (after not carefully reading the instructions) and my skin didn't come off in rolls, but the second time I left my skin wet and had a huge mess in my bathtub from all the rolls of dead skin (but it was a good thing!).The mitten is a bit hard to use, because it requires some manual labor and exertion for good results. I wouldn't recommend this mitten for the very elderly or (maybe some) disabled folks, or just anyone who isn't physically fit enough to rub their body pretty hard. It is a little bit of a workout for me to rub my skin with the mitten so hard and fast, even though I am young (24) and relatively fit. I get sweaty and honestly start smelling bad while using the mitten and take a cold shower after. Maybe it will get easier with time, I don't know. But I don't mind having a good reason to sweat. It's worth it.With all those disclaimers in there, I have to say the RESULTS are OUTSTANDING! The skin on my entire body is a lot shinier and more healthy-looking, and feels more alive. After you scrub with the mitten, your legs look and feel like you have lotion on 24/7, so I never wear lotion anymore. I wouldn't be surprised if it did actually help with those things. I have some cellulite on the back of my legs (who doesn't?), some serious abdominal scars from having my gallbladder removed, and some light stretch marks from getting tall very fast. It's not really necessary and you can use your fingers or a little scrubby to do the same thing saving yourself lots of money.The secret is to make sure your skin is very hot before you use it. It works the best after a very intense and long workout. When you're sweating like a pig and you jump into the shower. That's the best time to use this and you get great results.Would like the directions to say, turn the water off while you're using it to exfoliate your skin. Luckily I have no problem with skin irritation. But for me, I have to rub very very hard and my skin turns red. The redness goes away in about 2 hours. I'm just saying for my type of skin you have to scrub very hard.
