It definitely works. I used it on my dirty "orangy" blonde hair as directions stated, on wet hair for 20 minutes. Results were very minimal, hardly any color payoff. Then I used it dry and left it in for about an hour and it turned the color of the picture where my hair is in a bun. I did it again the next day and results are in the second picture. The pros of this product are as follows: It doesn't stain your skin, your hands or your bathroom. It really is temporary. After one wash after my three separate applications it was significantly faded. The conditioning aspect is awesome, my hair felt great afterwards. Eventually I figured out that I wanted vibrant pink hair, not this faded red pink. I was initially scared of the commitment but decided to actually dye my hair with semi permanent color. I will use this with every shampoo to maintain color. So in conclusion, yes it's great as an upkeep for already colored hair as a color depositing conditioner which is what it is. I don't recommend you dye your hair with it unless you are looking for something really temporary and don't mind it looking faded or like your hair is "tinted" rather than dyed.
