A few of the negative reviews point out that this doesn't work but it most definitely does; stickiness does depend on the surface though! Some expect this to be a permanent long term adhesive and I think they're missing the point. This is meant as a temporary way to attach your phone to a mirror as you shave or something along those lines. That said, I've already had my phone attached to surface for a whole day while I worked with some power tools and the stickiness was still STRONG when I wanted to finally remove my phone! For instance, my husband said he could not find anywhere on his truck to make the strips stick at all. While I had trouble finding a spot even after scrubbing down the dash on my Envoy. One problem not mentioned is the cell phone cover for your phone will make a difference where it is applicable. I tried to put it on my steering wheel but the flap kept opening and made that position impossible. I'm not sure how to make it stick and stand together yet even after using it for a few weeks. I found the flat vertical surfaces work better and the diagonal surfaces did not. I do like having a way to answer important calls using my earbuds and ignoring those ads, unassigned and restricted numbers.
