The colors are beautiful and fun. The lid opens and closes easily enough for my 3-year old to be able to operate it on her own, but it also has a lock so it can't be opened accidentally. The mouth piece is soft and small enough for little mouths to fit around. It is easy to suck out of as well. I like the silicone sleeve on the bottom so it doesn't clank against surfaces when it's set down. And the handle to carry it is very sturdy.
