My very simple reason for picking them was that they had butterflies on them (my mom loved butterflies). When I received them, I was pleasantly surprised at the good quality. They were a good stock - not paper thin and flimsy like the ones I got from the Dollar Tree.They are about the size of a 4 x 6 picture or postcard and fit very nicely into 4x6 recipe card holders that I put in my binder.There are three colors (though the two 'blue' ones look identical - one is blue the other is like a greenish blue). There is room to put ingredients and directions and I also like the fact that there is room on the back to write out any special instructions or continue instructions if it is a long recipe. I keep the ones I do not use the plastic it came in as well as another plastic to keep them neat.
