The tach is hooked up to +12vDC, Ground. By selecting the right tach and setting the switch on the back to the correct position you let the tachometer know how many pulses are sent per each engine revolution. Review: Tach sticking - I installed this tach and when i fired up the diesel engine it worked great no problems. Then I shut engine off and started it again and tach needle stuck on zero till I moved throttle to get a little more RPN and then it popped up to where it was suppose to be. I shut it off and then started quickly back up and it worked. Not sure what the problem is. Any suggestions anybody. Tried not too over tighter screws.
